Overview
ISO 10295-2:2009 - Fire tests for building elements and components: Fire testing of service installations - Part 2: Linear joint (gap) seals - specifies test heating conditions, procedures and acceptance criteria to evaluate the fire integrity and thermal insulation performance of linear joint seals installed in fire-separating elements (walls, floors, ceilings). The standard is intended to assess seal performance under standard fire exposure (ISO 834-1) including the effects of induced movement for joints designed to accommodate movement. It does not quantify smoke/gas leakage rates or cover items covered by other dedicated tests (doors, ducts, pipes, cables).
