Overview
ISO 10545-15:2021 specifies a standardized laboratory method for determining the amounts of lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) given off from the surface of ceramic tiles. The method uses a 4 % (v/v) acetic acid extraction applied to a defined tile surface, followed by quantitative analysis with an appropriate technique (for example, atomic absorption spectroscopy).
