ISO 11132:2021 - Sensory analysis: Guidelines for measuring the performance of a quantitative descriptive sensory panel provides practical guidance for validating and monitoring the performance of descriptive sensory panels and individual assessors. The standard focuses on assessing a panel’s ability to discriminate between products, the agreement between assessors, and the repeatability of intensity scoring. It is applicable to quantitative descriptive panels where individual assessor scores and a common attribute list are recorded. Methods for consensus or dominance-based approaches (e.g., free-choice profile, flash profile, temporal dominance of sensations) and inter‑panel reproducibility are out of scope.
