ISO 11143:2008 - "Dentistry - Amalgam separators" is an ISO standard that specifies requirements and laboratory test methods for amalgam separators used with dental equipment in dental treatment centres. It defines how to assess separator efficiency (retention of amalgam particles), safety and electrical requirements, marking, and manufacturer instructions for installation, operation and maintenance.
