ISO 11199-1:2021 - Assistive products for walking manipulated by both arms - Part 1: Walking frames - specifies requirements and test methods for walking frames (frames manipulated by both arms). The standard covers safety, ergonomics, performance and information supplied by the manufacturer (including marking, labelling and instruction manuals). Requirements and tests are based on everyday use and on the maximum user mass declared by the manufacturer; the standard applies to walking frames specified for a user mass of no less than 35 kg. This second edition replaces ISO 11199-1:1999 and aligns terminology with ISO 9999.
