La présente partie de l'ISO 11648 établit les méthodes de base d'échantillonnage des matériaux particulaires en vrac (par exemples minerais, concentrés minéraux, charbon, produits chimiques industriels en poudre ou en grains, et produits agricoles tels que les grains) prélevés dans des écoulements et en des lieux fixes, y compris l'échantillonnage par bande de manipulation à l'arrêt, afin de produire des échantillons pour mesurer une ou plusieurs variables avec justesse et un degré de fidélité connu. Les variables sont mesurées par analyse chimique et/ou essai physique. The standard emphasizes dynamic sampling (moving streams) and stopped-belt sampling as the reference method, with the objective of obtaining unbiased measurements of one or more variables (chemical analysis, physical tests) and quantifying the precision of the sampling process. It does not provide acceptance-sampling decision rules.
