ISO 12302:2017 specifies for plain bearings (except thick-walled half-bearings) those quality characteristics in accordance with ISO 12301 which can be used to regulate and control a production process on the basis of statistical process control (SPC). It covers dimensional variables but does not take account of attributes.

ISO 12302:2017 - Plain bearings - Quality characteristics - Statistical process control (SPC) defines which of plain bearings can be regulated and controlled using . It applies to most plain bearing types (except thick-walled half-bearings) and focuses on variables (measurable dimensions), explicitly excluding attribute-type inspections. ISO 12302:2017 is intended to be used alongside and supports manufacturers and customers in establishing SPC-based production control for plain bearings.
