Abstract
Overview
ISO 12749-2:2022 - "Nuclear energy, nuclear technologies, and radiological protection - Vocabulary - Part 2: Radiological protection" is an international vocabulary standard that defines and harmonizes terms used in radiological protection. The second edition (2022) updates and expands the first edition (2013), merging measurement and monitoring headings and adding terms related to emergency situations. Its primary purpose is to facilitate clear, consistent communication across the nuclear sector, medical uses of radiation, regulatory bodies and technical specialists.
