ISO 13616-1:2020 - Financial services - International bank account number (IBAN) - Part 1: Structure of the IBAN - defines the structure, representation and validation rules for the International Bank Account Number (IBAN). The standard specifies a machine-friendly textual format to facilitate automated processing and straight-through processing (STP) of cross-border and domestic account identifiers in financial and other industries.
