Abstract
Overview
ISO 1402:2021 specifies standardized methods for hydrostatic testing of rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies, including procedures to determine dimensional stability under pressure. The fifth edition (2021) updates pressure tolerances and failure-mode descriptions and is the reference for proof, burst and leakage testing using a liquid test medium. The standard applies general test conditions (standard temperature per ISO 23529) and safety measures for pressurized-liquid testing.
