This document specifies the characteristics of laminate floor coverings, supplied in modular format e.g. tiles, planks. It also specifies requirements for marking and packaging. Additional operational properties are given in Annex A.

Overview
ISO 14486:2025 - Laminate floor coverings - Specification defines the essential characteristics, classification and testing requirements for laminate floor coverings supplied in modular formats (tiles, planks). The standard sets performance limits for geometry, wear, impact, locking strength, moisture behaviour, marking and packaging. Annex A gives additional operational properties and the document includes provisions for testing with underlayments and herringbone installations.
