ISO 14527-3:1999

Overview

ISO 14527-3:1999 specifies the physical and chemical property requirements for urea-formaldehyde (UF) and urea/melamine-formaldehyde (UF/MF) powder moulding compounds (PMCs). It applies to compression- or injection-moulded test specimens produced from these powders and is limited to compounds of general technical or economic importance whose composition and properties are significantly different.

The standard selects the properties, test methods and test conditions from ISO 14527-2, and uses the designation system defined in ISO 14527-1 to divide materials into types. Annex A provides informative comparisons of designations used in national and international standards.
