Overview - ISO 15546:2011 (Aluminium alloy drill pipe)

ISO 15546:2011 is an international standard for aluminium alloy drill pipe used in the petroleum and natural gas industries. It specifies the technical delivery conditions, manufacturing process, material requirements, configuration and dimensions, and verification and inspection procedures for aluminium alloy drill pipe bodies with or without attached steel tool joints. The standard provides typical drill pipe configurations and gives the main dimensions and masses in both SI units and USC units. Note: ISO 15546:2011 does not address drill pipe performance properties.
