ISO 1652:2011 specifies a method for the determination of the apparent viscosity of both natural rubber latex concentrate and synthetic rubber latices by the Brookfield method. The method is also suitable for the determination of the viscosity of natural latices from sources other than Hevea brasiliensis and also for compounded latices.

ISO 1652:2011 - "Rubber latex - Determination of apparent viscosity by the Brookfield test method" specifies a standardized procedure to measure the using a Brookfield-type rotational viscometer. The method applies to Hevea and non‑Hevea natural latices, latex concentrates and compounded latices. The standard covers sampling references, sample preparation (including dilution to a specified total‑solids content), test conditions and reporting requirements.
