Overview

ISO 16528-1:2007 - Boilers and pressure vessels: Part 1 - Performance requirements specifies performance-based requirements for the construction of boilers and pressure vessels to ensure integrity of the pressure boundary. It covers geometry limits for pressure-containing parts, safety accessories and associated connections, and sets out duties for users, designers, manufacturers and third‑party inspectors. This part is intentionally limited to construction (design, materials, manufacture, examination and testing) and does not address operation, maintenance or in‑service inspection.
