ISO 16840-13:2021 - "Wheelchair seating - Part 13: Determination of the lateral stability property of a seat cushion" specifies apparatus, test methods, and reporting requirements to measure a cushion’s lateral stability. The standard quantifies how a cushion responds to a lateral shift in the load (simulating a displaced centre of mass) by measuring the resulting lateral tilt of a rigid cushion loading indenter (RCLI).
