ISO 16847:2025 - Textiles - Test method for assessing the matting appearance of napped fabrics after cleansing - specifies a standardized visual method to evaluate how the raised surface (nap) of napped or fleece fabrics changes (matting) after laundering or other cleansing processes. The method is intended primarily for use with Type B domestic washing machines as defined in ISO 6330, but can also be applied with Type A machines or professional/industrial processes when agreed by the parties involved.
