Overview
ISO 19642-7:2019 specifies the dimensions and technical requirements for round, sheathed, screened or unscreened multi‑core and single‑core copper conductor cables intended for road vehicles with nominal system voltages of 30 V a.c. or 60 V d.c.. It applies to complete cables and to individual cores in multi‑core constructions. The standard is part of the ISO 19642 automotive cable series and is intended for use in new automotive cable projects, supplier data sheets and conformity testing.

- Testing strategy: All combinations of conductor size, insulation thickness and formulation must meet requirements; representative size testing is possible by agreement between supplier and customer.
