ISO 1968:2004 is the fourth edition (2004) International Standard that specifies the vocabulary for fibre ropes and cordage. Prepared in collaboration between CEN and ISO/TC 38 (Textiles), this standard provides authoritative, harmonized definitions for terms used across the rope and cordage sector. It is intended to remove ambiguity in technical documents, specifications, testing, manufacturing and education related to fibre ropes.
