Applicable to both food and non‑food industries, the standard focuses on establishing sensory specifications, setting up sensory panels, choosing appropriate sensory methods, and integrating sensory results into QC decision‑making. It is explicitly limited to in‑plant sensory analysis and complements vocabulary standards such as ISO 5492.
