ISO 21009-2:2015

Overview

ISO 21009-2:2015 - Cryogenic vessels - Static vacuum insulated vessels - Part 2: Operational requirements - specifies operational rules for static vacuum‑insulated cryogenic vessels designed for a maximum allowable pressure greater than 50 kPa (0.5 bar). It can also be used as a guideline for vessels with lower allowable pressures. The standard addresses safe operation, handling, installation, inspection, maintenance and emergency procedures for vessels containing cryogenic fluids as defined in ISO 21009‑1. Where local regulations conflict with this International Standard, local regulations take precedence.
