ISO 21869:2022 - "Rubber compounding ingredients - Magnesium oxide - Methods of test" specifies standardized laboratory test methods for magnesium oxide (MgO) used in the rubber industry as a stabilizer and vulcanizing-modifier. The standard defines how to sample and test MgO for properties that affect rubber compound performance (particle size, surface area, purity and chemical composition). The specific properties to be measured and acceptance limits are agreed between the contracting parties.
