ISO 22043:2020 - "Ice‑cream freezers - Classification, requirements and test conditions" (first edition, Nov 2020) defines the classification, construction requirements and test methods for horizontal closed ice‑cream freezers with top access via solid or transparent lids. It applies to integral refrigeration systems used for the storage and display of pre‑packed ice‑cream. Key limits and scope include net volume ≤ 600 L and, for transparent‑lid units, a minimum net volume/TDA ≥ 0.35 m. ISO 22043:2020 was prepared by ISO/TC 86/SC 7 in cooperation with CEN/TC 44.
