Overview
ISO 22872:2024 - Rolling bearings - Geometrical product specifications (GPS) - Vocabulary and representation of symbols defines the standardized vocabulary and symbol representation used for geometrical product specifications (GPS) in the rolling bearings field. The standard specifies how GPS indications are transformed into figures, tables and textual/drawing indications, and it sets rules for representing symbols, tolerance values, limits of size, limit deviations and limit values for bearings.
This first edition updates and consolidates terms and symbols (replacing the role of ISO 1132-1) while keeping widely used, market-established symbols to ease industry transition to GPS-based wording.
