ISO 22915-24:2015, together with ISO 22915‑1, specifies the tests for verifying the stability of slewing variable-reach rough-terrain trucks (hereafter also referred to as trucks), equipped with fork arms or with load carrying or non-load carrying attachments. It is not applicable to those trucks equipped with the following: - integrated and non-integrated personnel work platforms; - tracks; - equipment to operate on rails.

Overview - ISO 22915-24:2015 (Slewing variable-reach rough‑terrain trucks)
ISO 22915-24:2015 is part of the ISO 22915 series for verification of stability of industrial trucks. Used together with ISO 22915-1, this part specifies the static test procedures and acceptance criteria for slewing variable‑reach rough‑terrain trucks equipped with fork arms or load/non‑load carrying attachments. It excludes trucks fitted with personnel work platforms, tracks, or rail‑operation equipment.

- Verify resistance to overturning under controlled static conditions
- Account for practical dynamic influences (weight distribution, boom deflection, tyre/axle behaviour)
- Provide test prescriptions for trucks on wheels and on stabilizers

- Tipping lines and reference planes: Defines tipping lines for trucks on wheels (non‑oscillating and oscillating axles) and for trucks on stabilizers/outriggers. Tests reference the longitudinal centre plane of chassis and upper structure.
- Tilt‑table test matrix (Tests T1–T5): Specifies positioning of truck relative to tilt axis for longitudinal, lateral and travel simulations. Tests include stacking/retrieving, travelling and boom/extension configurations in the least stable combinations.
- Test load and lift height: Tests require the load to be positioned at the least stable lift/reach combination. For travel simulations (T2/T4) fork face height is specified (e.g., 500 mm above ground in this standard).
- Lateral slope correction and chassis levelling: Trucks with chassis levelling may use maximum lateral slope correction up to 7 % for specified tests; other tests prohibit lateral slope correction.
- Oscillating vs non‑oscillating axle modes: Where applicable, tests are run in both axle modes and tipping lines are adjusted accordingly.
- Stabilizer tests and safety factor: For trucks on stabilizers, the measured actual capacity at the least stable boom configuration shall not exceed 80 % (safety coefficient 1.25) of the minimum load causing instability. Any additional capacity from stabilizers or levelling must be shown on the load chart.
- Marking and load charts: Annex provides example load charts and requires marking of additional capacities determined during stability tests.
