ISO 24298:2025 - Intelligent transport systems - Public transport - Light emitting diode (LED) destination board system for public transport buses - defines constructional and performance requirements and test methods for LED destination board systems (LEDDBS) used on all categories of buses and coaches (including mini/midi buses). The standard covers the complete system (LED display, controllers, and associated software/hardware), inward- and outward-facing displays, and options such as synchronized voice (GNSS-assisted announcements with manual override). Its aim is to ensure consistent visibility, reliability and safety of destination boards used for passenger information.
