ISO 2976:2005 specifies the nominal dimensions, and limit deviations of abrasive belts. It also specifies the designation and marking of these abrasive belts. It is applicable to abrasive belts intended for use on hand-held grinding machines and stationary grinding machines.

ISO 2976:2005 - "Coated abrasives - Abrasive belts - Selection of width/length combinations" defines the nominal dimensions and limit deviations for coated abrasive belts and prescribes rules for their designation and marking. It applies to abrasive belts intended for use on hand-held and stationary grinding machines. The standard includes preferred size tables, a list of legacy dimensions not to be used for new designs, and environmental test conditions.
