ISO 29804:2009 specifies a standardized test method for determining the tensile bond strength of adhesives and base coats applied to thermal insulation materials used in building applications. Based on EN 13494:2002 and adapted for wider climatic conditions (including tropical), the standard defines equipment, specimen preparation, test conditions and reporting required to measure the bond between render/adhesive systems and insulation substrates (e.g., ETICS).
