This International Standard specifies a method for the determination of the epoxy equivalent and is applicable to all epoxy compounds. In the case of epoxyamines, it is necessary to apply the modification specified in annex A.
Abstract
Overview
ISO 3001:1999 specifies a laboratory titration method for the determination of the epoxy equivalent (EE) of epoxy compounds. Applicable to all epoxy resins and low-molecular compounds, the standard describes how to quantify the mass of resin that contains one mole of epoxy groups. A normative annex (Annex A) provides a modification for (nitrogen-containing epoxy resins) to correct for acid uptake by amino groups.
