ISO 34101-4:2019

Overview

ISO 34101-4:2019 - "Sustainable and traceable cocoa - Part 4: Requirements for certification schemes" defines requirements for certification schemes that verify sustainable and traceable cocoa. It is intended to be used together with the ISO 34101 series (ISO 34101-1, -2 and -3). The standard covers certification of cocoa bean producing organizations and cocoa supply chain actors, and it specifies cocoa sustainability management system requirements at entry (Annex A) and medium (Annex B) levels. (High‑level management system requirements are in ISO 34101-1.) Only organizations that meet both the management system requirements and the performance requirements of ISO 34101-2 can claim cocoa beans are sustainably produced.
