ISO 3977-1:1997 - Gas turbines - Procurement - Part 1: General introduction and definitions provides the foundational vocabulary and high-level procurement framework for gas turbine systems. It groups relevant terms from and defines additional terms used across the series. The part sets common understanding for gas turbine procurement, performance ratings and operating modes for open‑cycle, closed‑cycle, semi‑closed and combined‑cycle gas turbine power plants (excluding aircraft propulsion and some mobile/vehicle types).
