Overview

ISO 4297:1978 - Manganese ores and concentrates - Methods of chemical analysis - General instructions provides foundational guidance for chemical testing of manganese ores and concentrates. It does not prescribe specific analytical methods but specifies the general requirements for , , , , , and to ensure reliable, repeatable results across laboratories.

- Construct calibration graphs on rectangular coordinates (mass in mg vs measured response: absorbance, current, etc.).
- Base absorbance calibration on at least three standards and verify with one or two standard samples.
Test report content
- Include sample identification, reference to the standard, analytical results, reference numbers, and any observed characteristics or non-standard operations that might affect results.
