Abstract
Overview
ISO 4548-1:1997 defines standardized test methods to determine the differential pressure/flow characteristics of full‑flow lubricating oil filters used on internal combustion engines. Part 1 of the ISO 4548 series specifies how to measure pressure drop across a complete filter assembly and across the filter element in a clean condition, over the full range of oil flow rates. The edition updates presentation and aligns test rig layouts with current ISO directives.
