Overview
ISO 4871:1996 - "Acoustics - Declaration and verification of noise emission values of machinery and equipment" provides guidance for the clear declaration and statistical verification of machine noise emissions. Applicable to machinery and equipment, the standard defines what acoustic information manufacturers and suppliers should present in technical documents (sound power and emission sound pressure values), and specifies a verification method for declared noise emission values. ISO 4871:1996 replaces the first edition and complements measurement standards in the , and series.
