Overview
ISO 4937:1986 - Steel and iron - Determination of chromium content - Potentiometric or visual titration method specifies a wet-chemistry procedure for measuring chromium in steels and irons. The method applies to chromium contents from 0.25% to 35% (m/m) and defines principle, reagents, apparatus, sampling, stepwise procedure, expression of results and reporting. Annex A gives inter-laboratory test information and Annex B presents precision data graphically.
