States a method and the device for use in determining the position of the seat index point (SIP) for any kind of seat designed for earth-moving machinery as defined in ISO 6165, and tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry as defined in ISO 3339-0.
Abstract
Overview
ISO 5353:1995 specifies a uniform method and a dedicated device for determining the for seats used in earth-moving machinery, tractors, and agricultural and forestry machinery. The SIP is a defined point on the central vertical plane of the seat used as a reference for operator seating position and workplace design. This second edition replaces :1978 and is intended to provide consistent SIP determination for seat manufacturers, machine OEMs, test laboratories and ergonomics practitioners.
