Applicable to the determination of losses equal to or more than 0.008 % (m/m). The principle consists in drying of a test portion at (105 1) °C for 6 h. The dried test portion is retained for the other determinations given in the annex. Has also been approved by the IUPAC.
Abstract
Overview
ISO 5444:1978 is an international standard that specifies a precise gravimetric method for determining the loss in mass of sodium fluorosilicate (sodium hexafluorosilicate) when heated at 105 °C. This test method is crucial for the quality control of sodium fluorosilicate used in various industrial applications. The standard emphasizes accurate measurement for mass losses equal to or exceeding 0.008% (m/m), ensuring reliable assessment through a controlled drying process conducted over six hours.
