ISO 6166:2021 - Financial services - International securities identification number (ISIN) defines a uniform structure and registration process for uniquely identifying financial and referential instruments worldwide. The standard specifies the ISIN format, the minimum descriptive data that form an ISIN record, allocation principles, and the role of the Registration Authority (RA) and national numbering agencies.
