ISO 6185-1:2001

Overview

ISO 6185-1:2001 is the international standard that sets minimum safety, design and testing requirements for inflatable boats - including rigid inflatable boats - with a maximum motor power rating of 4.5 kW. It applies to craft less than 8 m overall length and with a minimum inflated buoyancy of 1 800 N, intended for use in ambient temperatures from −5 °C to +60 °C. ISO 6185-1 is Part 1 of the ISO 6185 series for inflatable boats and covers Types I–IV (manual, powered ≤4.5 kW, canoes/kayaks, and small sail craft).
