ISO 6320:2017 specifies a method for the determination of the refractive index of animal and vegetable fats and oils. Milk and milk products (or fat coming from milk and milk products) are excluded from the scope of this document.

Overview
ISO 6320:2017 is an international standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for the determination of the refractive index of animal and vegetable fats and oils. This method provides a precise and repeatable laboratory procedure to measure the optical property known as the refractive index, which is critical for quality control and product characterization in the fats and oils industry. Notably, the scope excludes milk and milk-derived fats.
