This document defines cork as a raw material for the industry, as well as the terms to be used in describing the different forms in which cork can be found. This document also indicates the terms and definitions concerning its main products, some of the operations to which cork can be submitted and anomalies that can be associated with it.
Abstract
Overview
ISO 633:2019, "Cork - Vocabulary", provides an authoritative, international glossary for cork as an industrial raw material. The standard defines the terms used to describe the different forms of cork, the main cork products and by‑products, common preparation and shaping operations, and anomalies that can occur. Prepared by ISO/TC 87 (Cork), this third edition updates and clarifies terminology widely used by producers, manufacturers, inspectors and technical writers.
