Overview

ISO 7507-1:2003 - "Petroleum and liquid petroleum products - Calibration of vertical cylindrical tanks - Part 1: Strapping method" defines the strapping method for calibrating substantially vertical cylindrical storage tanks. The standard describes how to measure tank circumferences with a calibrated strapping tape, apply necessary corrections, and compute the tank capacity table (volumes vs. liquid level). It is suitable as a working, reference, or referee method and applies to tanks with up to 3% tilt when tilt corrections are made.
