ISO 7530-1:2015 specifies flame atomic absorption spectrometric (FAAS) methods for the determination of cobalt, chromium, copper, iron and manganese in nickel alloys that can be dissolved in the specified nitric–hydrochloric acid mixture. For each element the method is applicable in the content range 0.01 % to 4 %. The standard describes sample dissolution, reagent preparation, instrument adjustment, calibration and calculation of results for reliable quantitative analysis.
