ISO 7682:2003 defines requirements for solid-wall acrylonitrile‑butadiene‑styrene (ABS) pipes and fittings used for soil and waste discharge (low and high temperature) inside buildings. The standard covers materials, geometry, mechanical and physical characteristics, performance testing, joint types and system assembly-excluding buried pipework. It applies to pipework for domestic wastewater, associated ventilation and internal rainwater disposal, and supports jointing by elastomeric sealing rings, solvent cementing, or integral dual‑purpose sockets.
