ISO 7992:2022 specifies a laboratory method to evaluate the of iron ores intended as blast furnace feedstocks. The test simulates conditions in the blast-furnace reduction zone by isothermally reducing a fixed bed of ore at under a static load, and measuring the mechanical and permeability changes at .
