Overview - ISO 830:2024 (Freight containers - Vocabulary)
ISO 830:2024 is the third edition (published September 2024) of the ISO vocabulary standard for freight containers. It defines universally accepted terms and definitions used to describe container designation, characteristics, types, components, handling, identification and related concepts. This document replaces and incorporates revisions to reflect the growth in container types, size/height variations and new terminology such as and regional container variations.
