Abstract
What is BS 3338-11 – Tin and tin alloys about?
BS 3338-11 standard is a part of the BS 3338 series that discusses the determination of tin in solders using the nickel coil reduction method for the sampling and analysis of tin and tin alloys. Tin is alloyed with lead to produce solders with melting points lower than those of either tin or lead. Small amounts of various metals, notably antimony and silver, are added to tin-lead solders to increase their strength.
