Abstract
What is BS EN 21089 - Electrode taper fits for spot welding equipment about?
BS EN 21089 is an International Standard that discusses components of spot welding equipment. BS EN 21089 lays down the taper dimensions and tolerances of electrode taper fits for spot welding electrode caps, electrode adaptors, electrode holders and similar parts, where the electrode force Fmax given for diameter d1 in Table 1, Table 2 and Table 3 is not exceeded. The main aim of BS EN 21089 is to ensure the electrode taper fits play a positive role in the performance of electrode parts for overall success of the resistance welding process.
