What is BS EN IEC 63171 ‑ 1 about?
BS EN IEC 63171 ‑ 1 is the first part of connectors for electrical and electronic equipment. BS EN IEC 63171 ‑ 1 covers two-way, shielded or unshielded, free and fixed connectors for data transmission with frequencies up to 600 MHz and with current carrying capacity up to 2,0 A at 60 °C. It is intended to specify the common dimensions, mechanical, electrical, signal integrity, environmental characteristics, reliability specifications and corresponding tests for these connectors.
