Abstract
Overview
IEC 60146-2:1999 is an international standard developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for self-commutated semiconductor converters, including direct d.c. converters. This standard applies to all types of self-commutated semiconductor inverters and converters containing at least one self-commutated part, covering both alternating current (a.c.) and direct current (d.c.) converters in various applications. The scope extends to equipment such as uninterruptible power systems (UPS), variable speed drives, and electric traction systems, setting out general requirements, definitions, testing procedures, and marking guidelines.
